SAMSON TEAM RIDERS

Robby Carter  |  Chris Craig  |  Benton Travis

Robby CarterRobby Carter

Birthday: 06/02/87

Home Town: Bend, OR

Product Set Up: CWB Transcend w/ Answer Binding

Regular or Goofy Stance: Regular

Sponsors:  Samson Sports, CWB Wakeboards, Imperial Motion, Wired Energy

When did you start riding: I started when I was 11 and have been riding for 9 years

Injuries from wakeboarding: Torn Bicep, minor leg/ankle injuries, some chipped teeth, and a bundle of concussions

Biggest accomplishment: Being a part of Major Wakeboard films, and having trips and some of the funnest times documented.

Coolest place wakeboarding has taken you: As much fun as it is to travel the country and see new places, the NORTHWEST has never been beat when it comes to the beautiful scenery, intense summer heat, and all the friendly avid wakeboard fans to share the experience.

Favorite Trick: Some of my favorite tricks are the most simple ones, Backside 180 with any tweaked grab, any kind of glide variation (with a tweaked grab) or anything that is floaty and involves a lot of style, and a tweaked grab...

Favorite Place to Ride: My favorite place to ride would have to be one of the High Cascade Mountain lakes, there is nothing like going up there on a hot summer day in July, jumping into the cool crystal clear water, and taking a set while peering up into the still snow covered cascade mountains.

Other hobbies: Other hobbies of mine are teaching wakeboarding, it's awesome to get a little 7 year old up for their first time, or teach someone their first trick. I also enjoy Snowboarding, and teaching that as well. In my down time I like to relax, watch a movie, and sleep in all day the first chance I get. Which isn't often...

Thanks: I wanna also thank everybody who has supported me in wakeboarding, My mom and dad, and sisters. Scott at Samson Sports, everybody at CWB Wakeboards, Imperial Motion for keeping me clothed, Wired energy for keeping me hyper, and the God above for all the opportunity he's given me. Thanks to All...
